Job Description RTPE Marketing Manager


To create the right conditions for successful sales of the products leading to growth of revenue and profit of the business unit RTPE/Mors Smitt by positioning the products attractively in the market leading to increasing customer demand and satisfaction, whilst building brand awareness leading to brand preference.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead marketing department.
  • Develop marketing strategy and marketing plan. Communicate the plan, evaluate and adapt.
  • Leading and building the annual Strategic plan (STRAP) in alignment with all stakeholders. Research competition and demand for our products and services.
  • Plan, direct and coordinate marketing efforts. Coordinate marketing projects from start to finish.
  • Build brand awareness and positioning.
  • Identify potential customers. Support sales and lead generation and automation efforts. Get attention from potential market, create interest and desire to put customers into action for product information (AIDAS) and price requests.
  • Work with sales department to develop customer strategy to maximize profits and market share while balancing customer satisfaction.
  • Support sales departments in market opportunity management and CRM (SalesForce) optimization.
  • Create convincing (value adding content) product descriptions highlighting benefits and features in datasheets, videos, web content, application notes and white papers. Provide sales tools for the sales teams to ensure success.
  • Create new tools to guide the customers in their search for products and solutions (e.g. apps & product configurators).
  • Organize company conferences, trade shows, and major events.
  • Oversee social media marketing strategy and content marketing.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, marketing, communications, and/or related field.
  • Experience in B-to-B marketing and leading an international marketing team.
  • Proven marketing campaign experience. Strong copywriting and office 365 skills. Attention to detail.
  • Understand and develop budgets and finance, including expenditures, research and development appropriations, return-on-investment and profit-loss projections.
  • Professional and proactive work ethic. Hands-on mentality.
  • High competence in project and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, presentation and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with digital marketing forms such as social media marketing and content marketing.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing strategies, channels, and branding.
  • Superb leadership, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational abilities.
  • Fluent in English.

Place in organization
Member of international RTPE leadership team reporting to Group Managing Director. Functional reporting to Wabtec Transit marketing leadership. Based in EU, preferably in Netherlands in Ede at Wabtec Netherlands BV.
